In Episode 5 of the SheRecovery Podcast, Crystal chats with Jay Stringer.

Jay is a licensed mental health counselor, ordained minister, and author of the award-winning book Unwanted: How Sexual Brokenness Reveals Our Way to Healing. In this episode, Jay discusses the process of getting to the why behind our behavior in order to find lasting healing — including outlining five key childhood drivers of unwanted sexual behavior. While not an easy one, for many, this conversation will the beginning of transformative healing in your heart, mind, and soul. 

Unwanted is based on a multiyear research project of over 3,800 men and women to address the key drivers of unwanted sexual behavior, be that the use of pornography, infidelity, or buying sex. Jay holds an MDiv and master in counseling psychology from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and received post-graduate training under Dr. Dan Allender while serving as a Senior Fellow at the Allender Center.
