Show Notes

As we conclude Season 1 of the SheRecovery Podcast with Episode 15, Crystal chats with Kimberly Johnson. In this interview, Kimberly shares her story of recovery from abuse, sexual addiction, and unwanted same sex attraction. Sexual addiction is defined as an intimacy disorder—rooted in unhealthy or absent relational connection in early life. Kim shares the role finding relational connection and healthy intimacy played in her healing journey and gives advice on how to take relational risks in your life to overcome addiction.

Season 2 of the SheRecovery Podcast will return on September 10, 2021.

Kim holds a Master of Christian Counseling from Christian Leadership University. In addition to counseling she has traveled nation wide sharing her testimony with thousands. She teaches on all areas of sexual brokenness for large or small group events, and is a published author. Kim’s knowledge and experience come from not only the hundreds of stories she has heard, but from letting Jesus walk with her on her own path of healing from abuse, sexual addiction, and an unwanted same sex attraction. She believes that it is her life calling to make a difference in the areas of sexual and relational brokenness. Most recently, Kim joined the counseling team at Living on Purpose & SheRecovery.
